What is InVision?
InVision was a web-based prototyping and design-collaboration platform. Designers uploaded screens from tools such as Sketch or Photoshop, linked them with hotspots into clickable prototypes, and shared a link where stakeholders left comments pinned to specific screens. Inspect gave developers measurements, specs and exportable assets from the same files, Design System Manager (DSM) hosted shared component libraries, and Freehand added a collaborative whiteboard. InVisionApp Inc. sold Freehand to Miro in November 2023 and in January 2024 announced the end of its remaining services. The last day of access was December 31, 2024: share links stopped working that day, and all documents left on InVision were permanently deleted. Prototypes exported as offline HTML before the deadline still open without a connection, but there is no account, product or pricing left to evaluate, and invisionapp.com now redirects to miro.com.

InVisionApp Inc. announced in January 2024 that its design collaboration services would close at the end of the year; access ended on December 31, 2024, share links stopped working, and every prototype, Freehand, spec, board, DSM library and asset still on InVision was permanently deleted. Before the cutoff, InVision's offboarding guide told customers to export prototypes as PDFs, offline HTML or screen images, Freehands as PNGs and DSM pages as PDFs. Miro had bought Freehand in November 2023 and offered paid Miro customers a bulk Freehand-to-Miro migration tool. invisionapp.com now redirects to miro.com; prototyping work has to be rebuilt in tools such as Figma, Framer or Sketch.
